Mobile Phone Orchestra
For those who does not know what is Mobile Phone Orchestra (MPO), fear not as there will be performance of it this coming August. What you need during this performance is...yup, that's right..your mobile phone!! Before the performance starts, audiences would need to download some music tracks, turning their mobile phone into music instrument. The audiences or participants will play the respective music track according to the respective colour of the light
For example, if the light is blue, the audience or participant will need to play music track 1 and is the light is red, they need to play music track 2 and so on. Toccapoly
Alrighty, to all boy boy and girl girl!! Toccapoly is back and get ready to have fun but in creative way!! As we said, 'Bring your children around the world once again! Join our experienced facilitators on an exciting, multidisciplinary journey with the arts!'
Suitable for 4-8 years of age, children will able to learn a lot of things such as music, dance, drawing and many more in a fun way in order to let out their creativities and imaginations. Won't it be nice if we can let our children to have fun but also learn what school can't offer.
Here are some photos taken during the previous Toccapoly camp and you can see how much fun and laugh we able to get from the children.

This time, we proudly present two young Australian saxophone duo, Ali Fyffe and Matt Hinchliffe are going to perform at Space Toccata on 27th May 16 (Fri), 8:30pm. Their current project now is to tour around South-East Asia to perform new music by 10 composers and some of them are Australia's finest young composers.
Come join us at Toccata Space, again, on 27th May 16 (FRI), 8:30pm, to witness new works by Australia's composers perform by this amazing saxophone duo.

Cake Project #19
Alright, folks! It's been some time that Cake Project had exist since 2012 and we having another Cake Project #19 on 4th of September 2016, 3pm. For new reader of this blog or you forget what's Cake Project, you may ask what is it about and how it works. Well, worry not. Below is a description of Cake Project;
CAKE PROJECT is a combination of CAKE + creative ideas kick-off point funding project.
What is Cake Project?
• A combination of CAKE + CREATIVE IDEAS kick-off point micro-funding project which aim to build strong, generous and diverse network of local art practitioners and audiences.
Who is attending?
There are two groups of people at the event:
1) Group ONE – those who have a creative idea to propose (participants/presenter)
2) Group TWO – those who support creative ideas who comes in as voters (audiences/voters)
How it works?
1)
During the event, every person will be asked to donate a minimum of RM15, which goes to the PRIZE POT. In return, you’ll share a piece of homemade cake and coffee/tea, at the same time eligible to vote for ONE creative idea.
2)
- People from Group ONE – Creative art practitioners including artists, musicians, writers, performers, filmmakers, dancers, designers and the like, will present their creative idea one group by one group. (10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A session per group)
- People from Group TWO – voters will vote for ONE creative idea they would like to support.
3)
While votes are being collected, everyone will enjoy a piece of cake with coffee/tea
4)
Occasionally there will be performances or talks by special guests, OR return of past winners to share the progress of their winning project.
5)
Winner announcement - The one who get most votes wins the PRIZE POT.
